hear, see, speak

Some are vertically beautiful, others are horizontally beautiful, & some others--diagonally beautiful.
Stripes can really say some things about a person's body shape, making the person appear wider or thinner than they actually are. But they also got me to think about this extract of truth: "The idols of the nations are silver and gold, the work of human hands. They have mouths, but do not speak...eyes, but do not see...ears, but do not hear...those who make them become like them, and so will all who trust in them" (Psalms 135:15-18). Today's media really shoves the definition of beauty into our faces, and thus we get brainwashed of what beautiful looks like. These are idols we are encountering. These idols tell us we aren't attractive enough. But what idols may say isn't truth unless you trust in what they say. These idols have mouths, but don't speak truth; eyes, but don't see uniqueness; ears, but don't hear the silent epidemic of extreme self-consciousness of body image. Really, we are black and white. Equal. Don't let idols hear, see or speak. Or better yet, don't let idols heresy speak.
